ATV crash reported south of Raymond

(Raymond MN-) On August 3, 2023 at 07:08 am the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury crash involving two Polaris side-by-side ATV vehicles on County Road 7 approximately two miles south of Raymond. Upon arrival, deputies observed three ATVs in the west ditch of County Road 7. Two of the ATVs had sustained damage from what was found to be a rear end collision between the second and third ATVs. Individuals involved in the crash were out cutting weeds in the area when the first ATV went to slow down to make a left turn and the third ATV rear ended the second ATV causing it to roll on its side. Involved in the crash were 5 juvenile females, of which four sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Four of the individuals were transported by private vehicle to Centra Care Rice hospital in Willmar. The operator of the lead ATV was uninjured and not involved in the crash. The crash is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Raymond Ambulance Service, Raymond Fire Department, and the Prinsburg First Responders.
